THE CAREER OF CARIBBEAN ICON, LATE GUYANESE ARTIST PHILIP MOORE WILL BE CELEBRATED MARCH 13, 2013 AT CaFA FAIR BARBADOS OPENING GALA
NEW YORK, NY, March 1, 2013 – The 3rd Edition of Caribbean Fine Art (CaFA) Fair – Barbados opens on Wednesday, March 13, 6-9 pm with a Gala Reception featuring a celebration of the career of the late Guyanese artist Philip Moore as Caribbean Luminary of the Arts 2013, a live performance by Terry “Mexican” Arthur, and a preview of over 40 exhibitors of paintings, sculpture, photography, drawings, original limited edition prints and new media exploring the cultural traditions of the Caribbean. CaFA Fair Barbados will be held from March 14-17 at the exciting new venue in the heart of historic Bridgetown, Barbados - the Spirit Bond Building.
A special feature of CaFA Fair Barbados 2013 will be performances and film screenings scheduled for each day of the event. Trinidadian Shelley Worrell of CaribBEING will present screenings by filmmakers from Guadeloupe, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, while Barbadian performer NaLa will entertain with his unique brand of humor.
We are pleased to welcome celebrated US artist and cultural entrepreneur Danny Simmons; former Sothebys executive and principal of New York’s AK Art, Amy Kisch; and world renowned artist and lecturer Dr. Ademola Olugebefola, USVI, as presenters at the Caribbean Art Symposium, scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2013.
New works by Puerto Rico’s Diogenes Ballester and USVI’s Ademola Olugebefola, will headline the selection of artworks by over 40 artists representing 13 Caribbean nations. Internationally recognized contemporary artists such as Ras Ishi Butcher, Carlton Murrell, and Ras Akyem I Ramsay, Barbados; Carl F. Anderson, Carl E. Hazlewood, and Philip Moore, Guyana; Patricia Brintle, Haiti; Ava Tomlinson, Jamaica; Abishag Voundi, Martinique; Daniel Lind-Ramos, Puerto Rico; Marcel Pinas, Suriname; David Boothman, Trinidad & Tobago; will be represented at CaFA Fair Barbados. Emerging artists Nicolle Blackwood, Jamaica; Minerva Diaz, Puerto Rico; and many others from the English-speaking, Hispanic and Francophone Caribbean will also be on exhibit.

NEW YORK, NY, 11 de janeiro de 2013 - A 3 ª edição da Feira de Arte Fina Caribe (CAFA-FEIRA) - Barbados, terá lugar entre: 13-17 março de 2013, no coração da excitante e histórico cidade de Bridgetown, em Barbados - na construção da “Bond Spirit”
As Belas Art Fair 2013 abre na quarta-feira, 13 de março de: 18,00-21,00, com uma recepção de gala, que se destaca com música ao vivo, a apresentação do Prêmio Artes Luminary Caribe, e uma amostra mais de 35 expositores, entre pinturas, esculturas, fotografias, desenhos originais e cópias da edição limitada, com novos espaços de comunicação que explorem as tradições culturais do Caribe
Uma característica especial de Barbados CAFA Fair 2013, será o desenvolvimento de filmes programados para cada dia do evento. Trinidad representação do Sr. Shelley Worrell CaribBEING ser responsáveis pela programação do filme: Guadalupe, Jamaica e Trinidad e Tobago, enquanto a sua marca distintiva entreter com Dala humorístico de Barbados.
Estamos felizes em receber o famoso artista americano e cultural empresário Danny Simmons, ex-presidente executivo e Arte Sothebys New York AK, Amy Kisch, mundialmente famoso artista, professor doutor Olugebefola Ademola, Ilhas Virgens, que esteve presente no Simpósio Arte Caribe, marcada para o sábado dia, 16 de março de 2013.
Novas obras de Diógenes Ballester de Porto Rico e Ilhas Virgens Olugebefola Ademola, selecionando exibiu obras de arte de mais de 35 artistas representando 13 nações do Caribe:
-Dois artistas, Jamal Ince, Barbados, Jamaica e Ava Tomlinson recentemente foram selecionados para mostrar seus quadros no Africano de Arte de Miami de 2012, que era uma parte da Semana de Arte Basel em Miami, dezembro de 2012.
-Artistas aprovadas internacionalmente como contemporâneos Ras Butcher Ishi, Murrell Carlton, e Akyem Ras I Ramsay, Barbados, David Wilson, da Dominica;
-Carl E. Hazlewood e Philip Moore da Guiana; Patricia Brintle, Haiti,. Abisague Voundi, Martinica, Daniel Lind-Ramos de Porto Rico, Marcel Pinas, Suriname, David Boothman, Trinidad e Tobago, Barbados será representado no CAFA Feira Feira.
Artistas também emergindo como Nicolle Blackwood, Jamaica, Minerva Diaz, em Porto Rico, e muitos outros de língua Inglês Caribe, hispânicos e francófonos, que se reunirão nesta Exposição de Arte Caribe 2013.
